High Court's Compassionate Decision

In light of the numerous disasters that struck Uttarakhand during this year's monsoon, the High Court has decided to cancel its silver jubilee celebrations, which were scheduled for Thursday.

The court has instructed the state government to redirect the proposed budget of ₹1.5 crore for the celebrations to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. This contribution aims to assist families affected by the calamities.

Demonstrating solidarity with the victims of natural disasters, the High Court has resolved that all judges and registrars will donate one day's salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

Additionally, the High Court has urged judicial officers from the Uttarakhand state judiciary, as well as officials from both the High Court and district courts, to consider making similar voluntary contributions towards ongoing relief efforts.
